I’m Sanne, an interior designer with a real passion for creating stunning, elegant spaces and an extensive personal experience living in foreign countries/cultures.
Following a successful career in marketing & brand management for large multinationals, I took a career break when my husband and I decided to pursue the dream of living and working abroad, thus entering expat-life. This started out as a three-year adventure but has since become a life choice. My family and I are now ‘global nomads’ and our adventures have taken us to the US, Dubai and multiple countries in Europe.
During this time, I realised that I’ve always had a knack for interior design although it wasn’t by education. Creating a home for my family in all these different countries and cultures has given me a deep appreciation for the ability of interior design to create a true home. Creating a place where the family all felt rooted & happy has given me tremendous joy (and has helped us face challenges that inherently are thrown at you in life).
This realisation led me to re-train, achieving a Bachelor in Interior Design in 2019 and subsequently setting up Sdesign. I thoroughly enjoy providing creative, personal, solution-focused services, while using the project management skills gained in my former career to build positive & collaborative relationships.
Recent highlights of my work include consultation on all aspects of furnishings, colour schemes, material choices, bespoke design and spatial planning for luxury family homes and new-starter properties.
